Pouya Forouzandeh

Born 1987 in Tehran, is a Tar player specializing in Iranian classical music.

Since beginning his musical journey in 1997, Pouya has committed himself to the study and performance of the Tar, a traditional Persian stringed instrument central to Iran’s musical heritage.

Formally trained in classical Persian music, he is passionate about preserving and sharing the rich cultural traditions of his homeland. As a member of the Iraneh Ensemble, Pouya contributes to bringing the art of Iranian classical music to diverse audiences.

Currently based in Berlin, he continues to develop his artistry while fostering intercultural exchange through his music.
