Sara Hasti

Born in 1996 in Iran, has been playing the Kamancheh since the age of eleven. She studied Iranian music (B.A.) and Ethnomusicology (M.A.) at the University of Arts in Tehran.

She is currently pursuing a degree in Applied Musicology and Music Education at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. In addition to her studies, she works as a music educator in early childhood music education and regularly performs in concerts.

As an experienced Kamancheh player, she has participated in numerous concerts and recordings, including the albums “The Spirit Afar”, “From the Heart & the Soul”, and “In the Blaze of Songs”.

Sara Hasti has also performed at various music festivals, such as “Weltklang 2023” in Ingolstadt, the “Nowruz Festival 2023” in Zurich, UNESCO World Heritage Day 2023 in Weimar, the Rudolstadt Music Festival 2023, “Welcome Home 2024” in Berlin, the “Houbara Festival 2024” in Cologne, “Young Euro Classic 2024” at the Konzerthaus Berlin, and a concert with the Stuttgart State Orchestra as a soloist with the Babylon Orchestra.

Her outstanding achievements were recognized in 2024 when she was awarded the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Prize for International Students.
